Found this thread while I was looking for a solution to the exact problem described in the original post. None of the answers met my situation entirely, however. Brody's answer was pretty close. Here is my situation and solution I found to it.

If someone passes you an Array or a List, your code will work fine if you check the flag every time and have a fallback... But really; who does that?

If you want to follow through with your argument, than you could argue to never use any interface at all, because C# IList Nedir some implementation of it might throw.

You would because defining an IList or an ICollection would open up for other implementations of your interfaces.

If you're working within a single method (or even in C# IList Nerelerde Kullanılıyor a single class or assembly in some cases) and no one outside is going to see what you're doing, use the fullness of a List. But if you're interacting with outside code, like when you're returning a list from a method, then you only want to declare the interface without necessarily tying yourself to C# IList Kullanımı a specific implementation, especially if you have no control over who compiles against your code afterward.
